Smiley Monroe Extends Temporary Shutdown of Ireland, India plants

Northern Ireland’s global conveyor belts major, Smiley Monroe, says that in response to the ongoing coronavirus global pandemic, the company has decided to extend the temporary closure of all its sites in Northern Ireland for a further 2 weeks until May 4.    

 The company’s manufacturing facility in Hosur, India will also remain temporarily closed, but the company said this decision would be reviewed again soon in line with updated guidelines from the Indian government.  

Smiley Monroe said it would continue to review developments in the US before making any decisions regarding the temporary closure of its facility in Kentucky, the US.
