India’s Forex Reserves Rise to Record $542Bn

For the week ended September 4, India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by $582 million to a record high of $542 billion, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s weekly statistical supplement. 

The country’s foreign exchange reserves comprise of foreign currency assets, gold reserves, special drawing rights (SDRs) and the country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund.
